We are excited to announce that the 6th Annual Sun and Truth 5K will take place on May 3rd, 2026, from 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM at Riverside Park in LaSalle!

What began as a small gathering blossomed into a meaningful community celebration, promoting wellness while providing runners with the opportunity to support a cause close to their hearts. This year, runners have the opportunity to donate to the LCCHS Sonic Howls Continuing Education Bursary.

Run With Purpose:

The Sun and Truth 5K Race has always brought people together for friendly competition, encouraging participants to challenge themselves and reach new fitness goals. However, beyond these individual achievements, the race has made a meaningful difference in underserved and under-resourced communities across Montréal. 

Over the years, our collective efforts have contributed to causes that empower youth, combat food insecurity and homelessness, and tackle environmental concerns. Last year, we raised $10,700 for Tyndale's Nature for All Program, ensuring that children and families in the Little Burgundy community have greater access to enriching experiences in Nature. 

Furthermore, the Foundation will continue its longstanding commitment to supporting the charities selected by draw winners, as well as podium finishers in both the 1.2K and 5K races.

LCCHS Sonic Howls Continuing Education Bursary

This year, we are excited to launch a new tradition by naming the LCCHS Robotics Team as the official beneficiary of The Sun and Truth 5K Race in the years to come.

Funds raised through the event will support the LCCHS Robotics Continuing Education Bursary, benefiting graduating members of the robotics team pursuing post-secondary education. Recipients will be able to use the bursary toward tuition, assisting students’ transition from high school into their next chapter.

All funds raised through the race will be matched by the Foundation, doubling the impact of every contribution.

T-Shirts: If you’ve participated in a Sun and Truth 5K race in the past, remember to bring your t-shirts from previous years! If not, you’ll have the option to order a new one featuring this year’s race logo.

St. Viateur Lunch Boxes: The St. Viateur Bagel boxes were a huge success last year, so we’ll be bringing them back for this year's race. Make sure to select your bagel of choice when registering for the race.
