Nutritious Lunches for École Martin-Bélanger Students

How our partnership with Le 59 Saint-Pierre is helping students thrive at École Martin-Bélanger

In an effort to strengthen our commitment to the health and well-being of the Greater Montreal community, The Sun and Truth Foundation has partnered with Le 59 Saint-Pierre (Concert Action Lachine) to provide 240–250 nutritious lunches each week to the elementary students of École Martin-Bélanger in Ville Saint-Pierre. By the end of the school year, a total of 7,680 meals will have been served.

For many communities across Montreal, including Ville Saint-Pierre, consistent access to nutritious food is essential to children’s well-being and academic success. Our goal is to provide students with balanced, nourishing lunches that support their ability to concentrate in class, while giving parents one less day each week to worry about preparing lunch.

Through this lunch program, Le 59 Saint-Pierre will prepare a different hot soup each week from December 2025 to June 2026, served with freshly baked bread and a dessert. All soups are vegetarian, preservative-free, and made fresh each morning with high-quality ingredients. In addition, Le 59 Saint-Pierre will facilitate cooking workshops on pedagogical days to help students build awareness and skills around healthy eating.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partner, Le 59 Saint-Pierre, and to the dedicated staff at École Martin-Bélanger. We look forward to the continued growth of this meaningful partnership.
